We are working with Teviot Prospects and the Teviot Valley Community Board to create a new Community Plan for the Teviot Valley.

The aim of the plan is to help set the direction of our place into the future, by determining shared community values and vision. To help us do this, we are gathering feedback from people who live, stay or own property in the Teviot Valley.

We want to know what you think. Tell us what the special things are about the Teviot Valley – what you value and want to remain; what you think should change; and what you want the Valley to be known for in the future.

Your feedback will help inform a new Teviot Valley Community Plan and create a new action plan for our community. The results of the survey will be available to everyone.

This is a community-led process, supported by Central Otago District Council.

How to get involved

Please spend a few minutes to answer questions about what you love about this place. Rebecca Williams, Central Otago District Council Community Development Advisor, will also be attending a number of local community meetings in your area to gather feedback. All of the data will be presented back to the community at workshops to be held across the Teviot Valley in late August 2025.

If you prefer to provide feedback on paper, hard copy versions are available at the Roxburgh Service Centre, 103 The Store in Roxburgh and Mt. Benger Garden Cafe in Ettrick. The last day to provide feedback is Friday, 1 August 2025 so that we can use that information to help prepare for the community workshops.

We take your privacy seriously. Any personal details you provide will remain confidential. The results will be collated in a summary report that will include key themes that come through in the comments.

Please note that comments received for any survey are considered official information and may be released if requested under the Local Government Official information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).

Please read our privacy policy before you begin.
