We are working with Teviot Prospects and the Teviot Valley Community Board to create a new Community Plan for the Teviot Valley. Have a look at the draft plan by clicking here.
The aim of the plan is to help set the direction of our place into the future, by determining shared community values and vision. To help us do this, we are gathering feedback from people who live, stay or own property in the Teviot Valley.
We want to know what you think. Tell us what the special things are about the Teviot Valley – what you value and want to remain; what you think should change; and what you want the Valley to be known for in the future.
Your feedback will help inform a new Teviot Valley Community Plan and create a new action plan for our community. The results of the survey will be available to everyone.
This is a community-led process, supported by Central Otago District Council.
February 2026 Update
Thank you for taking the time to join with your community to create a plan that truly reflects why you love living in the Teviot Valley and captures your priorities for the future of your place. We have crafted a vision, goals and actions based on the community survey and workshops that were held, and we are keen to hear if we have got it right.
The draft of the Community Plan is now available for comment, and we would love to hear your thoughts on it. What do you think?
How to get involved
Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions. Feedback is open until Friday 6 March – we will then collate that feedback and make the necessary changes before releasing the final plan, scheduled for May 2026.
Help us shape the future of the Teviot Valley!
If you would prefer to give us your feedback on paper, hard copy versions are available at the Roxburgh Service Centre, 103 The Store in Roxburgh and at Mt Benger Café in Ettrick.
We take your privacy seriously. Any personal details you provide will remain confidential. The results will be collated in a summary report that will include key themes that come through in the comments.
Please note that comments received for any survey are considered official information and may be released if requested under the Local Government Official information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).
