Central Otago District Council is inviting your feedback on its 2023-2024 Annual Plan consultation. This year we have one consultation item, being the request to support Iceinline Central with a $400,000 grant towards the estimated $1.4 million project to construct a roof over its ice rink at Molyneux Park in Alexandra. This grant would apply to Vincent Ward ratepayers only.

For full details of the ice rink proposal, please go to pages 7-8 of the Annual Plan Consultation Document. The survey will ask for your feedback on which of the following options you support.

Impact on Vincent ratepayers
Option 1*: Fully rate funded over 20 years:
$3.91 per annum (0.76% rates increase) for 20 years.
Option 2: 50/50 rate funded/reserves
$2.57 per annum (0.50% rates increase) for 20 years.
Option 3: Fully grant funded
$1.23 per annum (0.24% rates increase) lost interest revenue.
Option 4: Do not support with any funding
$0
*Option 1 is what has been included in the rates calculations and financial statements supporting this consultation document.
Feedback closes 5:00pm Monday, 1 May 2023. Submissions will be made available to Council and we will report back on the outcome here on our Let’s Talk engagement hub, on Council’s website and in our CODC Noticeboard in The News.

The results will be collated in a summary report that will include key themes that come through in the comments.
